Search isn't what it used to be. Someone looking for a local plumber might ask Google, or they might ask ChatGPT or Claude. For small businesses, that fragmentation creates a real problem: how do you show up everywhere your customers might be looking?

Atlanta-based Searchbird thinks they have the answer. The startup builds custom-coded websites from scratch (no WordPress templates) and optimizes them for both traditional SEO and what they call GEO (generative engine optimization).

Co-founder Sam Lukens says the company delivers "enterprise-level, highly architected websites" to businesses that have traditionally been priced out of that tier. The focus is on building long-term brand value, not just chasing algorithm tricks.
