Grant Park is getting a dedicated spot for board game lovers. Meeples Games and Goods will open at The Beacon, 1039 Grant St., targeting a late summer launch depending on permits and construction.
The concept centers on a board game library where you pay a one-time fee to play as many games as you want. There will also be coffee, baked goods, beer, wine, and potential partnerships with local food vendors. Owner Inez Falcon-Haus is designing the space to be family-friendly, with games specifically curated for children.
"We want to make an environment where people want to come with their friends and family," Falcon-Haus told What Now Atlanta. The open floor plan will accommodate various group sizes.
The location right off the BeltLine should help draw visitors from across the city. "We're really excited to get started," Falcon-Haus said. "We hope to be a place that brings people together."
