If you've been on food Instagram at any point in the last decade, you've probably seen those glossy brioche buns and custardy scrambled eggs that made Eggslut famous. The LA-born chain that started as a food truck has finally made it to Atlanta, setting up shop inside the new Moxy Atlanta Downtown hotel that opened earlier this month.
What's interesting about this location is that it's not a standalone restaurant. It operates out of the hotel lobby with counter service, which gives it more of that casual, grab-and-go vibe that made the brand popular in the first place. They're doing breakfast sandwiches all day, plus extended late-night hours on weekends, which could be perfect for the downtown crowd.
This is Eggslut's first foray into the South, which shows they see Atlanta as a key market. Given how food-obsessed this city has become, and how much people love a good breakfast sandwich, I'd expect this to draw some serious crowds once word gets out. The Instagram factor alone should have lines around the block.
