Atlanta News & Talk is a daily news curation site covering Inside The Perimeter Atlanta neighborhoods. This page explains how content is selected, written, and attributed.
Daily digest (curated)
The daily digest pulls from 20 local news sources each morning. Articles are filtered for ITP relevance, mapped to specific neighborhoods, and summarized. Every digest story links back to the original source with full attribution.
When multiple outlets cover the same story, we merge them into a single entry and credit all sources. The primary source is always a local or independent outlet when available.
We do not publish stories that cannot be mapped to a specific ITP neighborhood. Generic "Metro Atlanta" or statewide stories are excluded.
Guides, lists, and neighborhood pages (original)
Guides, listicles, and neighborhood descriptions are original content written by David, a web developer and Summerhill resident. These are based on personal experience, local knowledge, and research from authoritative sources (official websites, Wikipedia, government data). Outbound links cite sources directly.
Images
Images come from two places: RSS feed media (attributed to the source publication) and Wikimedia Commons (credited with photographer name and license). We do not use stock photos or generated images.
Corrections
If something is wrong, let us know. Corrections are made directly to the content. We do not publish corrections notices for daily digest summaries since those are rebuilt each day. Errors in evergreen content (guides, lists, neighborhood pages) are corrected in place.
Independence
This site is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any of the news sources it aggregates. Sponsored content is clearly labeled and appears as pinned stories with full disclosure.
Content filtering
The daily digest excludes violent crime stories (homicides, assaults) and stories with invalid or non-ITP neighborhood mappings. This is an editorial choice to focus on constructive local coverage rather than crime blotter content.
