One of Atlanta's oldest traditions dodged the ax. The Atlanta Dogwood Festival will return to Piedmont Park from April 9 to April 11, 2027, and it will stay free, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
The festival had operated in the red for several years, hit by a roughly 30 percent jump in production costs and a drop in sponsorships that opened up a $250,000 shortfall and put the 2026 edition in real danger. Stronger donations, corporate sponsors, and foundation backing helped close the gap, and organizers say the event finally turned a profit.
Organizers have not released the full artist lineup or entertainment schedule yet. But for one of the country's longest-running arts festivals, simply confirming next spring's dates is the headline.
