The intown dining map keeps shifting. In its latest restaurant roundup, The Atlanta Voice flags a notable goodbye in Buckhead: the Afro-Caribbean favorite Apt 4B is closing its original Peachtree Road location after six years.
The good news for fans is that it is a see-you-later, not a farewell. The owners say they are hunting for a new home for the concept, known for live DJs, a deep vinyl collection, and a room styled like an eclectic New York apartment. In the meantime, some of its signature dishes will land at sister spots J'ouvert Caribbean Kitchen and Station 11.
The roundup also notes a change at Mary Mac's Tea Room, the Midtown Southern institution that has been serving fried chicken and pot likker since 1945. Atlanta's restaurant scene is in its usual state of flux, with openings and closings trading places by the month.
