Over 100 entrepreneurs have graduated from WEI (the Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative), the nation's only municipally-funded women-focused accelerator. And to date, those entrepreneurs have gone on to raise $6.29 million in capital while creating over 750 new jobs.

The latest cohort graduation marks another milestone for the City of Atlanta program, which provides training, mentorship, and resources to women building businesses.

WEI offers a curriculum designed to help founders develop their businesses, access capital, and connect with Atlanta's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The program has become a model for how cities can invest in underrepresented founders.

Women-owned businesses continue to grow faster than the overall business population, but women founders still receive a fraction of venture capital funding. Programs like WEI aim to close that gap by providing structured support and investor connections.

The accelerator is part of Atlanta's broader efforts to position the city as a hub for diverse entrepreneurship.
