Saturday's storms claimed a big one. The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival called off its Southern Spread x Tasting Tent event on Saturday afternoon because of the weather, according to WSB-TV.
"Unfortunately, due to the weather in Atlanta, we have made the difficult decision to cancel today's Southern Spread x Tasting Tent event," organizers said. The tents this year are set up at The Home Depot Backyard next to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Downtown.
If you are holding tickets for anything else, the rest of the weekend is still on:
- Saturday night: Stacked: The Burger Social and Whiskey & Fire, as scheduled
- Sunday: Homecoming x Tasting Tent, with organizers promising "beautiful weather tomorrow"
A four-day festival losing its Saturday afternoon tent is a tough break for the chefs who prepped all week. Sunday looks like the day to go.
