Atlanta, a city shaped by the civil rights movement and now poised to host the world, has a new lens through which to be seen.
"Through Our Eyes," an exhibition produced by Atlanta lens-based artist Sheila Pree Bright in collaboration with One Contemporary Gallery, offers visitors a chance to experience the city through local photographers' perspectives.
The exhibition opens as hundreds of thousands of international visitors prepare to experience Atlanta during the FIFA World Cup. Rather than tourist-oriented imagery, the show presents Atlanta as residents see it, capturing neighborhoods, communities, and everyday moments.
Sheila Pree Bright is known for her documentary and fine art photography exploring race, identity, and urban life. Her work has been featured in major exhibitions and publications.
One Contemporary Gallery, located in Downtown Atlanta, serves as a platform for contemporary artists working across media.
