Midtown's dining scene is definitely having a moment, and SPICE Atlanta wants in on the action. The team behind the successful Charlotte location is opening their second spot at 1230 W. Peachtree Street, targeting a late April opening in that rapidly evolving stretch of Midtown.
Co-founder Nana Atakora-Bediako isn't wrong about the timing. That part of Midtown has been seeing a lot of cool restaurants open recently, and there's definitely momentum building. The 5,100-square-foot space will feature contemporary chic design with elevated elements, which sounds like it'll fit right in with the area's increasingly upscale vibe.
What's smart about this expansion is they're building on proven success in Charlotte before jumping into the Atlanta market. That suggests they understand what they're doing and aren't just hoping Atlanta will automatically embrace their concept. With Midtown's office workers, residents, and visitors all looking for good dinner options, the location should give them plenty of chances to prove themselves.
