Skol Brewing Company is about to get a lot bigger. The Nordic-themed brewpub in the 200 Peachtree building (the former Davison's/Macy's department store) is expanding into a massive adjacent space dedicated to gaming.

Valhalla Gaming Lounge will span 30,000 square feet and feature more than 40 gaming options: simulators, soccer experiences, bocce courts, billiard tables, darts, and classic arcade games. A live-music stage and climbing wall could come later.

The timing is deliberate. Valhalla is targeting a May opening, right before World Cup matches begin at nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With soccer fans from around the world descending on downtown Atlanta, Skol is betting they'll want somewhere to unwind.

Food and drinks from Skol's existing menu will be served at Valhalla. The brewpub already operates an axe-throwing venue through a partnership with American Axes.
