The third round of No Kings demonstrations brought thousands of Georgians to the streets Saturday. In DeKalb County, protesters gathered along Clairmont Road in Decatur and marched in Tucker, joining nationwide actions against the Trump administration.
In Macon, the event took an unexpected turn. Organizers with Macon Rising had invited Bibb County Sheriff David Davis to address concerns about the county's cooperation with ICE. But agitated protesters prevented him from speaking, chanting "this is what democracy looks like" until organizers ended the rally early.
National organizers claimed over 8 million people participated in demonstrations across more than 3,000 locations. The protests continue to draw diverse crowds united in opposition to what they see as executive overreach.
