One of Midtown's upscale dining rooms is gone with no heads-up. LowCountry Steak on West Peachtree Street has closed permanently, announcing the news on social media right after its final dinner service, per What Now Atlanta.

The restaurant was a partnership between celebrity chef G. Garvin and restaurateur TC Mosby, serving a Southern-inspired steakhouse menu with dishes influenced by the Lowcountry region of the coastal Carolinas and Georgia. The closing announcement thanked customers for years of support but did not give a reason for shutting down.

No-warning closures are always a little jarring, especially for a name-brand chef concept in the middle of Midtown. For now, all the owners have offered is a thank-you and a locked door.
