Atlanta's South Beach-style food hall is getting new neighbors. New construction rising in the 1300 block of Moreland Avenue, south of East Atlanta Village, is the second phase of the Halidom mixed-use development that started opening with offices back in 2022.
Halidom and its 11-stall food hall component, Halidom Eatery, sit in the Woodland Hills pocket between East Atlanta Village and the Starlight Drive In, an area that has seen a steady drip of post-pandemic residential investment.
Under construction now is a two-story retail building bringing a mix of retail and light medical to Southeast Atlanta, spanning just under 18,000 square feet, according to Brad Burgess, vice president of marketing and real estate for developer IST Management Services, the property's main tenant. "We've already secured a couple of leases that we're not quite ready to announce yet, but they're the type of additions we believe the community will be genuinely excited about," Burgess wrote.
The new building sits between Halidom Eatery and a versatile park space the project has maintained for outdoor events. For the EAV-adjacent corridor, Halidom continues to be one of the more interesting bets on Southeast Atlanta as a standalone food-and-retail destination, rather than just a commute stop between neighborhoods.
