Eastside Food Hall from Gansevoort Market Creator Opens in April

Robert Montwaid, the guy behind New York's famous Gansevoort Market, is bringing his third Atlanta food hall concept to the new Vela Park development near East Lake Golf Club. The multi-concept destination opens mid-April with six different chef-driven concepts, craft cocktails, and roomy outdoor dining.

About East Atlanta

East Atlanta is the broader residential neighborhood surrounding East Atlanta Village. While EAV gets the name recognition for its bars and restaurants, the surrounding blocks of East Atlanta are a solid residential area with tree-lined streets, affordable (by ITP standards) bungalows, and a strong neighborhood identity. Brownwood Park and other green spaces give families room to spread out.

The neighborhood is bounded roughly by I-20 to the north, Bouldercrest Road to the east, Constitution Road to the south, and Moreland Avenue to the west. It's more spread out than neighborhoods closer to the BeltLine, which means you'll probably drive more. But the tradeoff is more house for your money and a community that's genuinely diverse in age, background, and income level. East Atlanta is where a lot of first-time ITP homebuyers end up, and most of them stay.
