Finally, all that Eggslut hype is available right here in Downtown. The LA chain that went viral for those glossy brioche sandwiches and perfect soft-scrambled eggs set up shop in the Moxy hotel lobby on March 5.
What's smart about this location is the all-day breakfast concept with extended late-night hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Downtown needs more places that serve good food beyond typical business hours, especially with all the hotel guests and people coming in for events.
The counter-service setup keeps things quick, which works for both hotel guests grabbing breakfast and downtown workers looking for lunch. Those custardy eggs and photogenic sandwiches that made them Instagram famous should do well with Atlanta's food scene. Plus, having the first Southern location gives us bragging rights over other cities.
