The CNN Center atrium has held a lot of identities over the decades, from indoor theme park to food court to live TV backdrop. Atlanta Magazine reports its next chapter is the CTR, a food hall curated by Robert Montwaid, who also founded Gansevoort Market in New York and Chattahoochee Food Works locally.

The numbers are substantial. The CTR occupies roughly 80,000 square feet, features 11 stalls backed by a commercial pastry kitchen and dedicated catering kitchen, and seats approximately 500 guests across banquettes, standard tables, and high-tops. Large trees punctuate the central area, softening the scale of the soaring space without diminishing it.

Montwaid describes it as a "boutique food hall" with emphasis on quality over volume. The location, wedged between Centennial Olympic Park, State Farm Arena, and the Omni Hotel next to the Georgia World Congress Center, makes it a connective hub for downtown's major attractions. Five entrances reinforce that role.

Stall tenants are coming into focus. Fuzzy's, known for oysters Rockefeller, is among the early announcements. For a district gearing up for World Cup crowds, having a dining destination in this high-traffic corridor addresses a longstanding gap.
