Brookhaven's signature event is back. The Cherry Blossom Festival runs Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Blackburn Park.

This year's lineup includes The Head and the Heart, Natasha Bedingfield, and Soul Asylum. Food vendors, artisan markets, and kids' activities round out the offerings. And the whole thing is free.

The city spends over $500,000 on the festival each year, with another $250,000 in Special Service District funds allocated for 2026. Sponsors cover the rest. While it's not yet "self-sustaining," Mayor John Park says Brookhaven is committed to making it the city's premier annual event.

"We basically said, 'Hey, we're going to have one major festival a year, and invest all of our resources into it,'" Park said. "It's a part of our policy." Expect about 60,000 people over the two days.
