Saturday, April 4 is 404 Day, and Atlanta showed up for it.
The second annual 404 Day parade drew hundreds of participants and spectators as it wound a little more than a mile from Peachtree Street to Underground Atlanta. Events celebrating all things ATL continued across the city throughout the day.
The parade is part of a growing tradition embracing the area code as a point of civic pride. The date (4/04) has become an unofficial city holiday, with businesses, organizations, and residents using the occasion to celebrate Atlanta's culture, neighborhoods, and identity.
Weather cooperated with cloudy skies and temperatures around 80 degrees, though rain and cooler temperatures in the 60s are expected for Easter Sunday.
