East Atlanta's Pollo Primo appears to be expanding. Owner Omar Ferrer has filed paperwork with the NPU for a location at 863 Ponce de Leon Ave, according to What Now Atlanta. The California-style pollo asado spot is known for its rotisserie chicken alongside rice, beans, chips, and fresh agua fresca.
The new location would take a 3,060-square-foot space and seat 50. Ferrer is also a partner in other local restaurants including Supremo Taco, Small Fry, and Spina Pizza. The opening timeline hasn't been announced.
Pollo Primo has built a following in East Atlanta for straightforward, well-executed rotisserie chicken at reasonable prices. A Ponce location would put the concept in front of a much larger audience and add another solid casual option to the corridor.
