The Westside Trail is getting one of its most ambitious adaptive-reuse projects yet. Urbanize Atlanta reported that Ladybird Westside, an old warehouse remake along the BeltLine's Westside corridor, is approaching grand opening with restaurant tenants Fum, Rabbit Ears, and Stella signed on. New construction images this week show the project's interior fit-out and the corner streetscape almost wrapped.

The project is the latest example of a pattern the Westside has seen accelerate over the last three years. Old industrial buildings within walking distance of the Westside Trail are being stripped down and rebuilt as a mix of restaurant, retail, and creative space, with developers leaning on the trail's foot traffic the way Eastside Trail projects leaned on Krog Street and Ponce City Market a decade ago.

Ladybird Westside specifically is positioned to anchor a stretch of the trail that has been heavy on residential builds and short on dining destinations. Fum, Rabbit Ears, and Stella all bring their own draw, and the building's design keeps the original warehouse bones visible while opening the corner to the trail with patio space and large operable windows. Urbanize Atlanta has been tracking the project's permits and tenant announcements for more than a year.

The broader Westside Trail neighborhood story is still being written. The trail itself is being upgraded in segments, the Murphy Crossing redevelopment a few minutes south continues to move forward, and projects like Ladybird are betting that the same compounding effect that turned Krog Street into a destination will land here too. The grand opening date has not been formally announced, but Urbanize Atlanta reported tenants are expected to begin opening over the coming weeks.
