EATS is back, and honestly, it's kind of perfect where it landed. After more than 30 years on Ponce de Leon Avenue, the beloved restaurant has reopened inside Wild Heaven's West End brewery down at Lee + White. The move happened fast after Wild Heaven bought the brand late last year, but they clearly took care to preserve what made the place special.
Levi Nichols, who managed the original location, is running the kitchen with much of the same crew that made EATS a local favorite. They even moved over the original equipment and restored that iconic neon sign from Atlanta's Neon Company. The menu is largely the same too, which means you can still get those comfort food classics that made the Ponce location a go-to spot for decades.
The Lee + White location makes sense for more reasons than just real estate. That whole area is becoming a food and drink destination, and having EATS anchored inside a popular brewery gives it built-in foot traffic. Plus, for longtime fans who were devastated when the Ponce location closed, this feels like a proper resurrection rather than some corporate knockoff.
