Brookhaven's biggest event of the year is here. The Cherry Blossom Festival takes over Blackburn Park this Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
The lineup includes The Head and the Heart, Max McNown, Soul Asylum, and Natasha Bedingfield. There will also be food vendors, art markets, and activities for kids. Best part? It's completely free to attend.
The city spends over $500,000 on the festival each year. Mayor John Park says Brookhaven is fully committed to making this their signature annual event. "We basically said, 'Hey, we're going to have one major festival a year, and invest all of our resources into it,'" he said.
