Two Georgia State Patrol troopers ended up in the hospital Thursday night after a chase through Buckhead went sideways.
Troopers tried pulling over a Range Rover on Peachtree Road around 9:30 p.m. Instead of stopping, the driver took off, ran a red at Piedmont Road, and slammed into another car. Then they jumped out and ran.
During the foot pursuit, two troopers suffered minor injuries. Another trooper Tased the suspect and made the arrest. The other driver in the crash had non-life-threatening injuries but declined to go to the hospital. GSP hasn't released the suspect's name or said what sparked the original traffic stop. The crash shut down Piedmont Road for about an hour.
