4-Year-Old Dies in Southwest Atlanta Apartment Stabbing

A 4-year-old girl died after being stabbed during a domestic dispute at an apartment on Alison Court SW Saturday night. Police had to force their way into the locked apartment through a window and used de-escalation tactics to get the severely injured child away from a man inside. The incident stemmed from a domestic-related dispute.

This is the kind of story that just breaks your heart. A 4-year-old girl died after being stabbed during what police are calling a domestic dispute at an apartment complex on Alison Court in southwest Atlanta Saturday night around 11:30pm.

Police got a call about a fight in progress and found a woman outside reporting a dispute inside the apartment. When officers couldn't get through the locked door, they had to force their way in through a window. That's when they found a man holding the severely injured child.

Officers used de-escalation tactics to get the little girl away from the man, but she had already suffered multiple lacerations. Medics rushed her to Children's Hospital, but she didn't make it. The whole thing apparently started as some kind of domestic situation that escalated beyond anyone's worst nightmare.
