That corner at Hopkins and White that's been looking like a construction zone for the past year? Those are actually townhomes starting to take shape, and they should be ready for buyers this spring. Ackerman & Co., the same folks behind Lee + White's ongoing expansion, cleared the old buildings last year to make way for 23 new for-sale units.
What makes this project interesting is its location along the popular Westside Trail portion of the BeltLine. You don't see a ton of new for-sale housing options along this stretch, especially not townhomes. Most of the BeltLine development has been either massive apartment complexes or single-family renovations that cost a fortune. This fills a gap for people who want to be walkable to the trail without needing to buy a whole house or rent forever.
The project, now called GW Parkside, should appeal to the same crowd that's been driving demand throughout the BeltLine corridor. You're walking distance to Lee + White's restaurants and events, easy access to the trail for running or biking, and connected to the broader BeltLine network. The first seven units are already getting close to completion, which means we should start seeing what the pricing looks like pretty soon.
