Sweet Auburn Springfest is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, bringing food, music, and community events to the historic Auburn Avenue corridor. The festival remains one of Atlanta's signature celebrations of African American culture and history.

The annual event draws thousands to the neighborhood that was once called "the richest Negro street in the world" by Forbes magazine. The festival features live entertainment, local vendors, and activities highlighting the area's rich heritage.

Sweet Auburn is home to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the Sweet Auburn Curb Market. The Springfest celebration reinforces the neighborhood's role as a cultural anchor for Black Atlanta, even as the area sees new investment and development.
