Inman Park just got a little more delicious. Mushi Ni opened yesterday on Elizabeth Street, and it's exactly the kind of neighborhood spot this area needed. Chef-owners Michael Le and Tanya Jimenez have serious restaurant pedigree (she worked for Gordon Ramsay in New York), and they're bringing that expertise to Asian-American comfort food.
The menu hits all the right notes: soft shell crab bao, chicken longanisa bao, umami fries, and those Instagram-worthy crab Rangoon puffs. The Peking chicken platter feeds two people for $25, which feels almost generous these days. But what caught my attention are the cocktails—tamarind whiskey sours and Thai tea martinis suggest they're taking the drink program as seriously as the food.
The location is perfect too, just off the Freedom Park Trail where you can easily walk or bike over from the Beltline connection. After all those pop-up events around town, it's great to see them settle into a permanent space where the neighborhood can really get to know their cooking.
