The 23rd annual Kirkwood Spring Fling Festival and Tour of Homes is set to return to Bessie Branham Park on Saturday, May 16.
The beloved neighborhood event combines a community festival with tours of Kirkwood's historic homes, many dating back to the neighborhood's founding in the late 1800s. Kirkwood's Craftsman bungalows and Victorian homes have made the tour a draw for architecture enthusiasts and prospective homebuyers alike.
The festival portion features local vendors, food trucks, live music, and activities for children. The Spring Fling has become one of Kirkwood's signature community events, drawing residents from across the SE BeltLine corridor neighborhoods.
Kirkwood, which has seen significant revitalization over the past two decades, uses the event to showcase both its architectural heritage and its vibrant contemporary community. The neighborhood's proximity to the BeltLine Eastside Trail and its walkable commercial district on Hosea L. Williams Drive have made it one of the most sought-after ITP neighborhoods.
