The FBI and Atlanta Police are sounding the alarm about an extremist network called '764' that's targeting Georgia children through online platforms. The group has been linked to several local cases, including bomb threats called in by minors.

"The group lures children, in some cases as young as 9 years old, to private platforms and then grooms them through intimidation and abuse," said Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum.

Once contact is made, 764 members coerce victims into producing extreme content, self-harm, animal cruelty, or violence against others. Atlanta PD has opened five investigations they believe are connected to the network, including terrorist threats made by kids ages 9 to 15. The FBI described it as "a form of violence, motivated by a hatred of society and a drive to cause collapse through indiscriminate chaos and destruction."
