Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe is expanding into Atlanta with a new location at Plaza Midtown. The franchise, which operates 28 locations across multiple states, has finalized its lease and begun construction on the space.
The brand specializes in health-focused, fast-casual fare including smoothies, matcha, refreshers, acai bowls, pancakes, and croffles. The Plaza Midtown location will mark Bora Bora's entry into the Georgia market.
Plaza Midtown, the mixed-use development at the corner of 10th Street and Monroe Drive, has become one of the area's most active retail nodes. The addition of a smoothie-and-bowl concept fits the health-conscious profile of the surrounding neighborhood, which draws a mix of residents, gym-goers, and Piedmont Park visitors.
The opening is expected in four to six months, placing it in the late summer or early fall window. Bora Bora joins a wave of franchise concepts targeting Atlanta's intown neighborhoods, where foot traffic and density have made formerly car-dependent retail corridors viable for quick-service dining.
