The BeltLine is getting its own World Cup celebration. What Now Atlanta reports that Atlanta Beltline Fest, a free two-day festival, will bring watch parties, live performances, and local vendors to Pittsburgh Yards next month. The event is designed to attract soccer fans, families, and anyone exploring the city during the tournament.

The festival highlights Atlanta's role as a host city for eight World Cup matches, including a semifinal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Organizers also want to support local businesses, artists, and neighborhoods, particularly in the areas recently connected by BeltLine trail expansion.

Pittsburgh Yards, the mixed-use development and event space in the Pittsburgh neighborhood, provides the venue. The setting aligns with the BeltLine's southside extension, which has brought the trail closer to historically underinvested neighborhoods.

Festival highlights include live match screenings, DJ sets, live music, and cultural performances. For a corridor that has watched most of the BeltLine attention go to the Eastside Trail, this is a chance to put the southwest side on display during the city's biggest international moment.
